Due to expansion, SKT are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Digital Marketing Officer.

 

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and a highly organised administrator with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. They will possess a creative mind and the ability to think innovatively to solve problems and operate at a fast pace whilst ensuring accuracy. This will be demonstrated by the ability to take initiative and work independently. A capability to manage changing priorities and work to tight deadlines is also desired.

Working closely with the CEO and other key staff, you will 

  • Be responsible for updating and creating content on our website and social media channels 

  • Source content, update pages and develop and grow our audience and supporters via social media marketing.

  • Manage updates to branding, programmes, events and engagement

  • Work with advertising platforms and partners to promote St Katharines Trust

  • Develop social media graphics, copy and content

  • To work as a key member of the team to support the profile of St Katharine’s Trust

  • Any other duties deemed to support the work of the CEO and board in relation to the work of the charity. 

Person Specification:

To be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate an interest and commitment in working in the charity sector. Previous administrative experience would be beneficial.

Requirements:

GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English (essential) 

Excellent written communication skills (essential)

An understanding and eye for design (essential)

Experience of using Canva, Wordpress and other related design or web programmes (essential) 

Experience of posting to and managing social media on behalf of an organisation (beneficial) 

Previous administrative or third sector experience (beneficial)

The Digital and Marketing Officer will be responsible for updating and creating content on our website and social media channels to promote the aim, objectives, programmes and profile of St Katharine's Trust. The D&M Officer will source content, update pages and develop and grow our audience and supporters via social media marketing.
St Katharine's Trust is a community sports charity operating in West London. We are a small organisation serving the local communities of Tower Hamlets and neighbouring boroughs, working predominantly with BAME families and those on low income to offer sports and community activities to improve equality of access, opportunity, physical health, mental health, confidence and community engagement.

SKILLS NEEDED
We are looking for someone with strong website management (CMS) and social media marketing skills, preferably with experience in the charity or community sector. Previous experience of writing copy and content for social media and web is required. Design skills using graphic design software such as Canva is also required. Excellent written communication skills.

WORKING HOURS
25 hours per week Fixed days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday - Fixed hours: 10:00 - 15:00

The Operations Assistant will work with the Operations Coordinator and CEO to hold responsibility for the overall day-to-day operational administration of the charity, including human resources, building maintenance, health and safety and team co-ordination. 

Working closely with the CEO, you will also process day-to-day transactions and deliver HR administration including coordinating recruitment, contracts and agreements, grant reporting and maintain up-to-date employee and volunteer handbooks, induction procedures and other HR documents in line with legislative and best practice requirements. 

  • To support the CEO, to ensure that all legal responsibilities are met with regard to charity, and company legislation. 

  • To co-ordinate with the team timely reporting to Board and key stakeholders. 

  • To take responsibility for day-to-day financial data entry and processing agreed accounts payable and receivable, maintaining records for petty cash transactions.

  • To assist the CEO in the preparation and delivery of Board meetings, including preparation of the necessary documentation, liaising with Board members, & minute taking. 

  • Keep governance records up to date with Companies House and Charity Commission, including the annual reporting & PSC is completed on time. 

  • To act as first point of contact for Trustee’s.

  • To compile impact monitoring and reporting for grants and funding, working with the Operations Coordinator.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate will have charity administration experience within an office environment and full proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office with a desire to expand upon this and learn further operations management and fundraising skills.
